Collars and Cuffs Book Seven
Eli may only be thirty, but he has had enough of pretend submissives. When he spies Jarod in a BDSM club, everything about the man screams submission. So what if Jarod is probably twenty years older than Eli. What does age matter, anyway? All he can see is what he’s always wanted—a sub who wants to serve.
Jarod spent twenty-four years with his Master before Fate took him. Four years on, Jarod is still lost, so when a young Dom takes charge, Jarod rolls with it and finds himself serving again. But he keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop. Because there’s going to come a point when Eli realizes he’s a laughingstock in the club. Who would want to be seen with a fifty-year-old sub?
After several missteps, Eli realizes that in order to find happiness, they will need friends who will understand. At a friend’s insistence, he visits Collars & Cuffs, where they are met with open arms. As they settle in to their new life, Eli begins to see things differently and he dares to think he can have it all. Until a phone call threatens to take it all away….

I have to say from the first chapter I became emotionally invested in these characters and their story. This is a wonderfully empowering series. Over coming tragic events and finding love is the underlying theme for these novels. As the latest installment to a well written series this novel did not disappoint.
Age discrimination and feeling out of place plagues many of us as we move into midlife. I had tears as the main character not only experienced loss but experienced issues of aging.
The storyline is so on target it will make anyone over 40 identify with the submissive, Jarod. Your heart will go out to him.
This is not a novel to be missed. Even the under 40 can learn how to treat others and what to expect (and look past) once they age.
The dominant, Eli, was an awesome character. Looking past age to see the heart of the man that was to become his. Making mistakes and making himself accountable for them was refreshing for me to read. So many characters don't have that type of backbone.
As a series it was nice to see past characters interact with the new. Even though this can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the entire series. It will enhance the interactions you read in this installment.
Many times I found myself crying and hurting for Jarod. He had so much pain it jumped off the pages and wrapped around my heart. Not many characters have the ability to touch me so deeply, this one got in within a few paragraphs and never left.
Plus Jarod has one of the coolest mothers I have ever read about. She steals the show!

Dom of Ages Collars and Cuffs Book 7 edition by KC Wells Parker Williams Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I know when I begin a Collars & Cuffs story that I am in for an emotional experience. I expect to meet characters I'm going to love, some I will probably dislike & I will get to reconnect with characters I have come to love and care about. Well Dom of Ages was so much more, this was a roller coaster ride from page one to the epilogue. Yes, I loved the main characters, yes, there were characters that I disliked and I was introduced to a character that I cared about and respected but never really got to meet; but to me this story was all about discovery and friendship and the importance of the Collars and Cuffs community to this story cannot be downplayed.
Jarod was a lost soul, a complex character who sincerely believed that everything in his lonely life would be right once he had someone to serve, once he had purpose. While service and being a sub was an important part of who he was, he was so much more; he had to learn that he was also valued as a friend and mentor.
Initially Eli did not impress me as being a good Dom. He selfishly put his needs and desires before the welfare of his sub. In the beginning the one redeeming thing about Eli was his fierce loyalty and protection of Jarod. He had a lot to learn about himself and about being the Dom that Jarod needed, but he wasn't afraid to admit his mistakes and ask for help.
Oh, and Maggie is the mother of the century! Seriously, she is priceless!
I've getting through all the books and they end in a proper manner. But this one ... it ends on a cliff-hanger of gigantic oral proportions, sort of similar to all those old-fashioned stories where a chapter would end with a detective saying "...and the name of the murderer is - " and all of this in an epilogue, no less, an epilogue that doesn't even feature the main characters. An epilogue has to wrap things up, not end on a statement that drops an open-ended bombshell. This epilogue should have been, maybe, chapter 1 of the next book.
Okay, I'm pretty sure, by process of elimination, I know what is coming up in the next book but that's beside the point. A professional writer would never finish a book like these authors have done.
The story, itself, is okay, however from the beginning to about halfway through , it appears to me, to lack warmth; it almost seems like writing by rote. Alex, Scott, Dorian - their stories were full of variety and kept me reading. I plodded through this book out of loyalty. Through most of the book, the older Jared read more like he was a twenty year old.
Oh dear.
